The school is situated in the village of Enniscrone surrounded by a beautiful three mile beach. Enniscrone is seven miles from Ballina and thirty-five miles from sligo town. A voluntary secondary school with approximately 400 students and 25 teachers which prides itself on a strong academic and cultural life. Students work for their first three years towards the Junior Certificate state examinations. Fourth yearis an optional Transition Year, a break from exam-orientated study, in which students have the opportunity to experience a broad range of new subjects and activities. You can find out more about Transition Year here. Finally, in fifth year, students begin two years of study towards the Leaving Certificate. Students study seven subjects for Leaving Certificate. School life is not, however all about study. A broad range of extra-curricular activities is on offer. The school is renowned for its gaelic football and basketball.
