In order to insure equality of access to all the people of Kilkenny, the
Library service strides to create a network of service points around the County.
The service originally largely confined to the City area has in recent
years opened branches both in the North of the County in Urlingford and
Castlecomer and in the East in Graiguenamanagh. The existing part-time
branches in Callan and Thomastown have been recently refurbished.
Provision of a new mobile vehicle has allowed the service to automate
issuing here. This service provides access to those not yet within easy reach of
a static service point.
