Bordeaux | Vintage | Price/Case |
Probably the most important difference between Bordeaux and other classic wine producing regions is the fact that red Bordeaux is made from a blend of grape varities, the main three being Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The choice of what to grow is dictated mainly by soil type, climate and style of wine aimed for. Cabernat Sauvignon is the predominant variety of the milder left bank, while the earlier ripening Merlot reigns in the right bank regions of Pomerol and St. Emilion. |
