Germany | Vintage | Price/Case |
Revered by purists, but undervalued by the great majority of wine drinkers, Riesling's reputation has been severely affected by association with the high/low extract wines that flowed out of Germany in the seventies and eighties. However it can still claim to be the finest white grape variety based on the longevity of its wines and their ability to transmit the characteristics of a vineyard without loosing their own style. It is in Germany that it reaches its apogee in the wines of Mosel Sar Ruwer where wines of startling extract, aroma and delicacy are produced.
