Waterpark Rugby

On Saturday morning, after I had come home from under12 training, I was told Andy Torrie( the under 12 coach ) had asked if I would like to come to play for the under 14 in their semi-final the following day.
I said I would. I expected to be subbing, but as I was the biggest forward on the under 12's there I was, picked to play as flanker. As we did a lap of the pitch and stretches, tension started rising. I thought to myself, why am I doing this? But, as the game progressed and I made a good catch from the kick off I became more confident and really began to enjoy the game. The final score was 55 points to 12 and we were scoring so many tries that I was told to stay behind whoever had the ball. When we were nearly over the line my team mates would pass to me and I would score. But the whistle blew. I hadn't scored, but it didn't matter. We had won, and now we are in the final.

Now I know the meaning of pressure !
