What is the Institute About?

Main EntranceThe KMI Institute of Theology and Cultures facilitates the theological and pastoral development of those who engage in the Church's ministry of the gospel. Inspired by a sense of partnership with all, the Institute crosses the boundaries of culture and religion in a spirit of respect and dialogue.

Participants bring to the programme their personal faith commitment and an awareness of their own religious and cultural traditions. This enables the Institute to present theological studies which are grounded in experience, international in outlook, ecumenical in tone, and in touch with the present reality of christian living.

By creating a context for sharing cross-cultural experiences, the Institute also contributes to a greater awareness of the issues and challenges in the Irish Church.
