HISTORY
1985-86
In 1985-86 we entered the FAI and Munster junior cups for the first time.
We played Kinsale at home in the munster junior cup and after a gallant
display we went down to the more experienced opposition on a scorline
of 4 - 2.
In the FAI we fielded a weakend eleven and once again after putting up a
brave performance we lost narrowly on a score of 2 - 1.
The same year we had seven points to spare at the top , when we won the
league.
Indeed we only lost one match in the whole league campaign, a tribute to
the team and manager Charlie Crowley.
Top scorers for the season were:
J Sullivan 34 goals
Noel Greene 31 goals
Ger Delea 16 goals
