HURLING AROUND ATHENRY

Hurling around the fields of Athenry has come on a lot in the past few years. In 1996 they won the All Ireland final when they beat Wolf Tones of Clare. The score was Athenry of Galway 0- 14 points Wolf Tones 1-08. Last year Athenry were knocked out of the ALL IRELAND club semi-final by St. Joseph’s ,Doora Barefield.
