Lough Gur has so much to offer the visitor and it is a matter of a 20 minute drive from Limerick City. The history of the area is there for everyone to savour and enjoy and there is no shortage of friendly hospitality to be had in the inns and Guest Houses at a reasonable price.
The area surrounding the Lough itself is ideal for walking and the Interpretative Centre can supply you with all you need to get the most from your visit including a video that explains the history in full detail.
