This project is being one of the first initiatives undertaken by the newly formed Ballymahon Chamber of Commerce and Duncan Murtagh.
The widespread availability of high-speed, affordable, flat-rate,
always-on internet access, referred to as ‘broadband’, is central
to the development of Ballymahon as a modern knowledge and information
society town.
The availability of broadband will enable businesses and
individuals to take advantage of the internet and enhanced
communications links and associated economic and social
benefits.
Broadband services will lead to improved employment
opportunities and create a more positive environment for investment in a growing town such as Ballymahon.
