"We toured Southern Ireland for 8 days from Dublin to just north of Galway. The reason this trip was outstanding rather than good was because Joe was our driver and personal guide. We have found in the past that driving on the wrong side of narrow roadways, navigating with few road signs to be very stressful. With Joe we were able to sit back and relax and actually see and enjoy the beautiful Irish countryside and cities. Joe is very knowledgeable about Ireland, he gave us an insight into the history of all the sites we visited before we arrived. Being able to drive directly to a site gave us additional time on our itinerary consequently we were able to visit additional sites and areas not listed in most guidebooks; like the Black Abbey in Kilkenny.
Traveling through the south of Ireland with Joe at the wheel we had informative and fun conversation not only about Ireland and the way things are done but also about the Irish people of today. The insights we gained can’t be found in any book.
The first call when planning our future trip to see the rest of the beautiful Irish countryside, towns and cities will be to Joe, because scheduling our trip around his availability, he’s that good!"
