We travelled to Ireland and toured with Joe Naughton as a family with grandparents, parents and an infant this summer and had the trip of a lifetime. We unanimously agree that what truly made our trip special was the outstanding service and care provided by Joe Naughton. All of us agreed that Joe is about as close to the perfect driver/guide as you could hope for. He is extremely friendly and personable but always the consummate professional. His knowledge and the stories he shared enhanced our visit immensely. Our trip combined visiting some of the most famous sites in Ireland with visits to very obscure sites as we researched family roots. Joe was not only able to accommodate these unique requests but facilitated the visits in a way that allowed us to achieve a tour that was extremely personal to our family. He was always very patient and accommodating. He made the trip completely stress-free. During our trip we ran into a snag as we realized that we had forgot an item at a stop the day before. By the time we returned to the van, Joe had made arrangements to retrieve the item on his own time so that our tour would not be affected even though this caused him a long day. His thoughtfulness and a genuine desire to do whatever he could to ensure your trip is a success is what sets Joe apart. As others have mentioned, at the end of the tour, we really felt like Joe was part of our family. We strongly recommend his service to our friends and family and we look forward to getting to tour with Joe again.

"We toured Southern Ireland for 8 days from Dublin to just north of Galway. The reason this trip was outstanding rather than good was because Joe was our driver and personal guide. We have found in the past that driving on the wrong side of narrow roadways, navigating with few road signs to be very stressful. With Joe we were able to sit back and relax and actually see and enjoy the beautiful Irish countryside and cities. Joe is very knowledgeable about Ireland, he gave us an insight into the history of all the sites we visited before we arrived. Being able to drive directly to a site gave us additional time on our itinerary consequently we were able to visit additional sites and areas not listed in most guidebooks; like the Black Abbey in Kilkenny.

Traveling through the south of Ireland with Joe at the wheel we had informative and fun conversation not only about Ireland and the way things are done but also about the Irish people of today. The insights we gained can’t be found in any book.

The first call when planning our future trip to see the rest of the beautiful Irish countryside, towns and cities will be to Joe, because scheduling our trip around his availability, he’s that good!"
