Blood Brothers: War/Drama

DAVE
"That was the one thing I still wish I hadn’t done. Kiss him when
he was dead. You feel like you need to, even though they are no
longer there. I don’t know if it was the cold skin or the taste of
the makeup.  But if I had smeared my lips in
lighter fluid and lit them, it would have hurt less. The taste,
the feeling just seemed to rock me to my soul. It’s a feeling I’ll
never forget, but I wish to Christ I could."

Logline: An injured Marine,  dying on the War torn streets of Iraq, reflects on his life.

Logline (2): A dying Marine on the War torn streets of Iraq, reflects on the life that lead him to this fatal moment.

Logline (3): Two life long friends, one friend driven by his heart the other by his mind; find themselves thrown into a conflict that neither understand.

Logline (4): Driven by  revenge and fuelled by an unfulfilled life, Dave finds himself drawn into the Iraqi conflict; where his pursuit of what's right shows him just how wrong life can actually be.

New logline: A dying soldier on the streets on Iraq reflects back on his life and his mistake of being involved in a War he could never understand.

Synopsis: Two life long friends who dreamt of war as kids, now find themselves divided by their beliefs. One follows his country's call to arms, the other chooses to question and decide for himself. The story begins with the main character on a mission in Iraq. He is wounded and lies close to death, as he starts to reflect back over his own life.

Synopsis # 2(2008): Two lifelong friends find themselves divided by their opinions of the War on Terror. One of them follows his country's call to arms and signs for active duty. While wounded he reflects back over his life and the events that lead him to the war ravaged streets of Iraq.

Notes: The idea for blood brothers started as a medium to express what a lot of people felt in what was happening today (and over the last few years). But through the eyes of whom it is effecting the most and who are paying the greatest price: The youth of today. I wanted to draw a story of what experiences in someone's life could lead them into a situation where any normal human being may try to avoid (possibility of being killed).
