    MD Tom Kenny welcomes Taoiseach Bertie Ahern to Sligo Institute of Technology.

    The formal opening of the new Business Administration Centre, Administration block and Library was attended by the Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern who performed the ceremony.

    Also present were: Rosaleen O'Grady-Mayor of Sligo, Seamus Caulfield-President of Sligo I.T. and Councillor Jimmy Devins-Chairman of the Board of Governors of Sligo I.T.

    JUNE 2000

    St. Mels College, Longford

    The foundations have been laid for a new extension at St. Mel's College in Longford.

    Funded by the Department of Education, this old and well known Irish secondary school is constructing an extension to a classroom block

    The project is expected to finish in time for the start of the 2001 school year, at a cost of £1.5 million.

    KBCE are working with a private developer on this new addition to the County Sligo town

    At a cost of approx £1 million, this hotel will comprise of 12 bedrooms and is expected for completion this February, in time for the 2001 summer season

    The client, Oriflame have commissioned the conversion of an existing warehouse facility to modern laboratories This project has a value of approx £1 million and is being fast-tracked for completion by Christmas 2000
