  • Plaque dedicated to people from Fingal who had fought in 1916 unveiled. Eamon de Valera, Uachtarán na hÉireann was present.
14 February 1967 
  • School officially opened by Tarlach O’ Raifeartaigh, Secretary of Department of Education and blessed by Archbishop McQuaid.
 1 May 1966
  • St Colmcille’s BNS opened. Pupils had been in New Borough BNS and St Colmcille’s Infant BNS on Seatown Road. Other classes had transferred from Old Borough School on Main Street where they had been accommodated temporarily since 1961.
