  • School soccer team beaten in injury time by Drimnagh Castle in Primary Schools’ League final.

  • Mr Pat Kane, caretaker in the school for over twenty years, retired.
  • School soccer team beat John Paul NS, Malahide by 4-3 in the Fingal League Final.

  • St Colmcille’s B.N.S. retained over 12 team prizes in cross country championships. Keith Ward won the individual race for boys over 12.

  • Mural designed and co-ordinated by Ms. Ciara Brangan was completed.

  • Pupils, staff and parents organised fund raising to sponsor athletes in Special Olympics. €3, 264.53 raised as a result of no-uniform day, cake sale and raffles.

  • Pupils and parents involved in bag packing at Dunne’s Stores. Proceeds to be donated to St Colmcille’s B.N.S. funds.

  • Junior football team entered in Fingal Championships for the first time.
  • Swimming lessons provided at ALSA pool for pupils in 3rd, 4th and 5th Classes.

  • Mrs. Camilla Nolan who had been school secretary since 1982 became secretary at St Colmcille’s G.N.S.

  • She was succeeded by Mrs Mary Mc Gee who had been supervisor for the previous nine years of FÁS scheme.
