Cappoquin and its surrounding areas provide visitors with an abundance of things to do and see.

The area boasts beautiful 18th century houses and gardens to see such as Richmond House, Lismore Castle, Tourin House & Gardens and of course Cappoquin House & Gardens. Other outdoor treats include Dromana Gate (gothic-hindu architecture), Lismore heritage centre and the silence and serenity of Mount Melleray Abbey. Should the weather take a turn for the worse there is always the option of indoor exhibitions such as Waterford Crystal visitor's centre, Waterford Treasures at The Granary and Dungarvan museum.

For those of you more interested in doing than seeing there are various activities to enjoy. The area is most famous for fishing on the River Blackwater, with its enormous supply of fish to suit game and coarse anglers alike! There are several golf courses in the area such as the spectacular 9-hole course at Lismore Castle and the 18-hole course at West Waterford Golf Club, Dungarvan as well as other 18-hole courses within a half an hour's drive at Youghal, Fermoy, and another at Dungarvan. Tramore offers a seaside resort with amusement parks and arcades. Also in Tramore is SplashWorld, a fully-enclosed water-park. There are also various beautiful walks such as the Glenshelane River walk and Knockmealdown mountain walks.
