VEGAN GROUPS OF IRELAND The Dublin Vegan Group now have meetings on the first Saturday of every month. 2004 On Saturday August 7th 2004, the group joined with the Wexford Vegans for a picnic on Courtown beach near Gorey. It was also decided to arrange alternative venues for more social meetings. Location will be discussed and decided through the vegan mailing list http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/vegans_ireland. Membership to this mailing list is arranged through email, as detailed on the site. On Saturday July 3rd 2004, the group discussed vegan cat food and supplements, the pros and cons of interacting with/assisting a wild animal, the purpose of an official group name for events, vegan guest houses and food intolerences and processed foods. On Saturday June 5th 2004, there was a group discussion on people living with animals, school trips to the zoo or animal farms, organising anti-vivisection protests, and general organisation of the group. On Saturday May 8th 2004, the group had a vegan picnic on the beach in Courtown, Co Wexford. On Saturday March 6th 2004, the UK Vegan Society local contacts' coordinator, Patricia Tricker, gave a talk on organising local groups and on the Vegan Society. The group have organised
a vegan food and book stall at the co-op every Saturday, starting
in March 2004. Volunteers to help with this stall would be
greatly appreciated. So far the stall has included homemade vegan
