Appendix3 COISTE GAIRMOIDEACHAIS CHATHAIR CHORCAI City of Cork Vocational Education Committee Conditions of Employment (Community Tutor - Part-Time Employee) (This contract is issued subject to the confirmation of your appointment by the City of Cork Vocational Education Committee) Employer: City of Cork Vocational Education Committee Emmet Place, Cork. Employee: Centre: Category of Employment: Community Tutor Date of Commencement: Hours per week: Duration of Employment: Remuneration: Wages will be calculated on an hourly basis at the rate as approved from time to time by the Department of Education and Science. A copy of the current scale as approved by the Department of Education and Science is available from the Committee’s Administrative Offices, Crawford Art Gallery, Emmet Place, Cork. Note: Payment for hours taught includes whatever time is required for preparation and/or evaluation in order that teaching may be carried out effectively and for a reasonable level of attendance at meetings, discussions, etc. that may pertain to the tutor’s role. Payment will be made at monthly intervals. Paid Leave: Leave will be in accordance with the terms of the Organisation of Working Time Act, 1997. Holiday & Public Holiday Pay: Holiday Pay will be paid at the end of the academic year. Public Holiday Pay will be paid a month in arrears. Sick Leave: Payment will not be made in respect of days absent due to sickness and the superannuation scheme will not apply. Period of Notice: In accordance with terms of the Worker Protection (Regular Part-Time Employee) Act. Further employment within the current academic year Should employment cease within the current academic year (September to August) and recommence at any other time within the current academic year, these conditions of the employment, unless altered in writing by the employer, shall apply to any subsequent employment within the current academic year and this notice shall for the purposes of the duration of the employee's employment and any subsequent employment during the current academic year be deemed to be proper notice to the employee of the terms of conditions of the employee's employment pursuant to the Terms Of Employment (Information) Act 1994.
