FOR LEAVING CERT STUDENTS


Leaving cert year course

This course is designed to complement the Leaving Cert curriculum. Specific attention will be paid to oral skills, reading comprehension, writing techniques, building vocabulary and grammatical structures, and oral comprehension.
- 8-12 students per class, 1.5 hours per week over 26 weeks
- Full Year €350 or €330 with the Early Booking Discount by Saturday 8th Sept. 07
- Classes scheduled for 17/3 will take place on Saturday 26/5 Courses run on Wednesdays 3.30 – 5pm or Saturdays 11.30am – 1pm
- Please note that in order to accommodate students also enrolling for the Leaving Cert Oral Exam Preparation Day (see below), classes will exceptionally take place from 9.00 – 10.30am on the Saturday before the exam week for Leaving Cert Oral French (exact dates not yet released by the Department of Education).

Leaving cert oral exam preparation day

Exam success is about feeling confident and prepared. Designed to complement your schoolwork preparation, this one-day course provides maximum immersion in the French language within an interactive group. Your 30-minute individual session includes a mock exam and an advice session with one of our native French-speaking tutors. Reserve early! - 6-12 students, 5 hours group tuition and a 30-minute individual session over 1 day, €110 - Held on the Saturday before the exam week for Leaving Cert Oral French (exact dates not yet released by the Dept. of Education) - 10.30am – 4.30pm (lunch break 1- 2pm) and individual sessions from 4.30pm by appointment Date to be confirmed in February 2008

For Junior cert students

Junior Cert year course

This course is designed to complement the Junior Cert curriculum and introduce students to the format of the Junior Cert exam. Specific attention will be paid to developing students’ ability to understand, speak and write in French.
- 8-12 students per class, 1.5 hours per week over 26 weeks
- Full Year €350 or €330 with the Early Booking Discount by Saturday 8th Sept. 07
- Courses run on Wednesdays 3.30 – 5pm or Saturdays 2.30 – 4pm A student book and an exercise book will be required: “Taxi” - €20 for both books.

Junior cert exam comprehension preparation

Exam success is about feeling confident and prepared. Designed to complement your schoolwork preparation, this intensive course provides maximum immersion in the French language within an interactive group. You will work on comprehension techniques and receive advice from our tutors to improve your skills - Reser ve early!
- 6-12 students, 4 hours over 1 day, €60
- Held on the Saturday before the Junior Cert French exam (exact dates not yet released by the Dept. of Education) 9.30am – 1.30pm Date to be confirmed in February 2008

Individual tuition for leaving and junior cert students

A comprehensive option when preparing for the exams, Individual Tuition is available at mutually convenient times between you and an Alliance Franηaise tutor, and is tailor-made to meet your par ticular needs. Individual attention allows you to concentrate on particular areas of the curriculum at your own pace, thus increasing your confidence.
€35 per hour if you book 20 hours or more; €40 per hour if you book between 10 and 19 hours; €45 per hour if you book less than 10 hours.
