As we hope to keep our green flag this year despite our unusual location and circumstances, we were recently visited and assessed by the Green Flag Schools' representative Suzanne Tinney.
Green Flag Renewal

Ms Suzanne Tinney, Environmental Officer, Donegal County council visited our school to assess the work of the Green Team for our 3rd Green Flag renewal.

The theme this year was 'Water'.

During the visit Suzanne met the class representatives of the Green Team who talked about their Green Team projects and activities.

These included:
Eco houses (6th Class)
Global warming (4th Class)
New pond habitat
Recycling
Composting

6th Class showed their Eco houses to Suzanne who was really impressed by their innovative, environmentally friendly design ideas.

The Green Team would like to thank Suzanne for her friendly approach to the assessment

Recycling Zone
Worksheets and paper are shredded and used as animal bedding
Some of our art materials come from 'The Source' Recycling centre in Derry
We also recycle - batteries
- Postage stamps
- Computer ink cartridges

All items for recycling should be brought to the school office. Don't forget to visit your nearest recycling centre and bottle banks.
