Development at Murphy's Farm

Members will be aware of a proposal to develop sheltered accommodation on a section of Murphy's Farm adjacent to the Pitch & Putt Course.

There is a need to upgrade the Parks Depot which consists of a nurnber of containers at present. Bishopstown Pitch & Putt club also occupy a container adjacent to the Parks depot.

In view of the proposed housing development, the time is now opportune to tidy up this general area and it is proposed to provide a modem Parks depot on the site which can also incorporate a small meeting room/pavilion for the pitch & putt club.
It is possible to fund this development as part of the overall development.

1 ask the Committee to recommend to Council that approval in principle be given to the proposal.
