Inside Chiropractic: A must read text, July 30, 1999
Reviewer: Timothy A. Mirtz DC KNGNUMITOR@aol.com from Lawrence, Kansas
I have just finished reading Dr. Homola's recent book Inside Chiropractic. Dr. Homola has once again adequately demonstrated the current problems that exist in the profession called chiropractic. In 1963, Dr. Homola was the lone voice in identifying the problems the chiropractic profession had. His work of 1963, Bonesetting, Chiropractic, and Cultism has been the influence for constructive reform that is so badly needed for the chiropractic profession. It is interesting to note that many of the current problems Dr. Homola discussed in 1963 are still prevalent 36 years later. Dr. Homola's book is a must read book for anyone contemplating either a career in chiropractic or wishing to understand the workings of the profession.

The Chiroprator's Self-Help Back and Body Book, March 30, 2003
Reviewer: Joseph L Hartzog from Marietta,Ga
I found Dr Homola's book reader friendly and easy to under stand. His book really helped me understand what is causing my back pain and what to do about it.There is a wealth of information on how to recognize and treat all kinds of aches and pains. He tells you how to help yourself and when you see a doctor.
I will recommend this book to anyone who wants a real self-help guide that explains the problem and then offers good advice or an effective remedy. I keep this book handy for quick reference when any member of my family has a back or body problem. I wouldn't be without it.
This is not "just another back book" as referenced by another person who then recommended his own book. This is for the reader, easy to understand and to "help Himself" .

Book Description
Chiropractic has become America’s most popular form of alternative health care, offering lasting relief from pain--and many other health benefits--to more than 25 million patients annually. Yet many people still wonder exactly how chiropractic heals, and even experienced patients may be able to get more from their treatments. In this accessible and fascinating book, Dr. Michael Lenarz illuminates the basic principles of spinal health, showing how the body naturally lets go of stored pain and disease once the flow of vital energy has been restored. He also explains:

*Why adjustments keep the communication flowing clearly, quickly, and cleanly
*Why the billion-plus nerve pathways carried by the spine can be the key to a wide range of health problems--from arthritis, headaches, and back and neck pain to chronic fatigue and digestive ailments
*Why many of the health complaints we associate with aging may in fact be the result of old injuries and therefore treatable
*The different techniques of chiropractic, and how to choose the beset chiropractor for you.

PLUS--complete chapters on the diet, exercise, and stress-relief programs that will help you achieve a healthy, vibrant, energized, and pain-free lifestyle--the chiropractic way.

About the Author
Michael Lenarz received his doctor of chiropractic degree from Sherman College of Straight Chiropractic in Spartanburg, South Carolina, where he received the B. J. Palmer Philosophical Distinction Award. He is an extension faculty member for Sherman College and for Logan Chiropractic College in Kansas City, Missouri, and a committee member for the Blair Chiropractic Society. Dr. Lenarz has been in practice for fifteen years and operates three chiropractic offices in Seattle and western Washington. Chiropractic theory is false., December 8, 2000
Reviewer: Dr Ludmil A Chotkowski (see more about me at Amazon.com) from Kensington, Connecticut USA
From the abstract description of the theory and practice of chiropractic provided with the description of this book,it is clear that the author adheres to the century old theory of vertebral subluxation of disease, concocted by D,D, Palmer, and which is false. The many causes of diseases are all clearly spelled out by any modern medical textbook, yet chiropractic continues to hold to this outdated false theory. In my book, "Chiroprctic the Greatest Hoax of the Century?", I note the opinion of 27 medical college deans, and eminent scientific oriented medical authorities such as DR C Everett Koop, former US Surgeon General and Dr George Lundberg former editor of the Journal of the AMA who agree. The theory is without any scientific proof whatsoever, and deservesto be relegated to the ash heap of medieval medicine. That chiropractic treats the cause of disease, while medicine treats only symptoms is precisely the reverse of the truth. Chiropractic only manipulates the spine, while medical practice treats the cause whatever the cause is known to be, with proven medicine and surgery. Chiropractic cannot name any disease, of the thousands of known diseases, that it can prevent, effectively treat or cure, with scientific proof. For proof anyone can read Cecil's textbook of medicine, the Merck manual, or my book as documented to find the truth. .

Reader Review
Learning to Embrace Nature...A Good Place to Begin!, November 30, 2002
Reviewer: A reader from South Carolina
"Chiropractic Made Simple" is a great book that examines the subluxation philosophy of chiropractic healthcare. The author's theme that a doctor's ability to work with the laws of nature and not against them in order to best help patients is a very logical point. The author makes reference throughout the text that current allopathic objectives are out dated or obsolete.

I totally enjoyed this book and would encourage others to read it as well. Embracing the laws of nature is always a good place to begin when tackling health related issues.
