Sundays
The Sunday School at Crinken is made up of a fun loving bunch of about 60
children ranging in age from newborn babies to a lively group of teenagers
who meet every Sunday morning. There’s a group for every age.
The
babies and toddlers, cared for by a rota of enthusiastic volunteers from
the church, enjoy the space of the hall and the large array of colourful
toys. Sometimes it’s hard to get them to go home!
A group
of pre-schoolers have a break from the toys to hear a Bible story or colour
a picture. There are classes of about 6 to 8 children of every age group
from 4 to 12 who get together to hear about God’s love for them, have a bit
of fun and make friends. The teens meet as the KGB (Know God Better) and,
as they sip their hot chocolate and sit around on sagbags, they discuss
important (and not so important) issues! The high attendance in Sunday
School is always an encouraging sign.
Once
a month
All the groups meet as one to sing and
learn new songs that they may sing in the morning service at Harvest,
Christmas or Easter. A band of guitarists, drummers and keyboard players
made up from the KGB and older members of the Sunday School practise
regularly together and lead a song or two occasionally in the morning service.
Visitors
to our Sunday School are frequent and always welcome!!
