Sundays

The Sunday School at Crinken is made up of a fun loving bunch of about 60 children ranging in age from newborn babies to a lively group of teenagers who meet every Sunday morning. There’s a group for every age.

The babies and toddlers, cared for by a rota of enthusiastic volunteers from the church, enjoy the space of the hall and the large array of colourful toys. Sometimes it’s hard to get them to go home!

A group of pre-schoolers have a break from the toys to hear a Bible story or colour a picture. There are classes of about 6 to 8 children of every age group from 4 to 12 who get together to hear about God’s love for them, have a bit of fun and make friends. The teens meet as the KGB (Know God Better) and, as they sip their hot chocolate and sit around on sagbags, they discuss important (and not so important) issues! The high attendance in Sunday School is always an encouraging sign.

Once a month

All the groups meet as one to sing and learn new songs that they may sing in the morning service at Harvest, Christmas or Easter. A band of guitarists, drummers and keyboard players made up from the KGB and older members of the Sunday School practise regularly together and lead a song or two occasionally in the morning service.

Visitors to our Sunday School are frequent and always welcome!!

Mondays - Crinken Bowls Club

If it's Monday night, it must be bowls night!

Out go the chairs from the hall and in come the long, green mats.
And at around 7.30 pm, in come the 20-plus bowlers who pay an annual subscription of €20, plus €2 per night.
Never mind if the bias catches you out and the bowls leave the mat, the high spot of the evening may turn out to be the tasty supper served around 9 o'clock.  It's then that friendships grow as the chat gets louder round the supper table.  Some evenings, the numbers may be swelled because competition matches are arranged with other church clubs.

Bowls Club kicks-off in early September and ends with an outing and a lunch in May.  One other thing you'll need, however, if you decide bowling is your sport:  a pair of soft shoes without heels or patterned soles so that no damage is done to those costly baize mats.

Tuesdays - On Route Club

This club (for 3rd and 4th Class Primary School) meet every Tuesday Evening in the Church Hall from 6.30pm to 8.00pm.

Wednesdays - Parent & Toddler Group

This group meets every Wednesday (from September to the End of May) in the Church Hall.  There are approx. 30 Parents with toddlers - some with two!  The children range in age from newborn up to 3 approx.  So it can be quite noisy, but a lot of fun.

While you get to have a coffee and a chat, the children get busy playing with all the toys in our well equiped hall.

Thursdays - SIGNPOSTS
Crinken Church Hall          6:30 PM - 8 PM        5th - 6th Class

Every Thursday evening, a bunch of us arrive at Crinken Hall to hang out and have a good time. Each evening is varied with games or videos, car treasure hunts or a night out Bowling and you never know you might end up Bray Head one night!

We make lots of new friends at Signposts and love to meet more young people.   We look at who God is and hear about various people He used in the Bible to tell us how much He loves us.
