THIS Counterpoint Tutor is a collection of web pages which presents an introduction to Species Counterpoint, based on J.J.Fux's Gradus Ad Parnassus (1725). There are also pages introducing elementary music theory, including pages about pitch, rhythm, scales and modes, and intervals. There is a page about the construction of triads, and there are some miscellaneous pages. The interval, triad, and counterpoint pages have Java applets for testing yourself on these topics.
