Original Hedgerow, leg 2.

Added identification for the micromoth on 26th.

Frequent heavy showers.

It got bright later on, but by that time most flying insects had gone for the day. This is the view east on leg 2. The most visible flowering plant at the moment is Meadowsweet. To the north is a Willow grove and the Bulrush field.

The larvae of Cassida rubiginosa are ready to pupate, and have ditched their umbrella of dung.

One of the smaller Eristalis hoverflies - Eristalis interruptus.

An interesting little ichneumonid with a curved ovipositor and an alarmingly thin joint between thorax and abdomen. Maybe flexibility is the main issue, here.
