What St. Kevin's has to offer.

St. Kevin's is set in a pleasant, colourful environment.
Our pre-school kiddies

Our school is dynamic, flexible and vibrant. Apart from the standard curriculum that everyone associates with education, there are so many other activities taking place that St. Kevin's has changed its image considerably in recent years. In the Early Start preschool, 15 boys and 15 girls aged 3 and 4 are moulded gently into a school routine through play under the capable hands of Noleen and Liz.

Specialist rooms are used for certain subjects. Apart from the latest addition, our Computer Room, we also have an Art Room and a new Library.
Parents learning computer skills in St Kevin's
There is a major emphasis on parent participation. Classes have been organised by Ms Vivienne ???, Home School Liaison Teacher, whose remit covers both this school and our near neighbour, St. Joseph's Girls National School. There have been first-aid, parenting and aerobics courses, and currently 14 parents are learning computer skills in our I.T. Room under Ms Rose Doyle.

Extra resources have been allocated to the school in recent times. In particular, the school qualified for two Traveller Resource teachers. But in St. Kevin's, integration has always been the policy. The school has used these resources for the benefit of travellers in particular but for the whole school in general. Specialist teaching for travellers is offered daily. And the school benefits from the provision of counselling and self-esteem enhancement programs.
Thanks to funding from the Finglas-Cabra Partnership therapy sessions for pupils who need it take place once a week. On Wednesdays many of the boys enjoy taking part in drama. On Thursdays, other pupils practice their skills at art lessons.
