The Bible: Work of Literature, Product of Cultures
Margaret Daly-Denton

January 13th, 20th, 27th, February 3rd, 10th 1999

The word "Bible" means 'a collection of scrolls', and it is, in fact, a diverse and wide-ranging library. Over the centuries of this library's creation, its authors interacted with the varied cultures in which they found themselves. This course will explore the international dimension of the Jewish and Christian scriptures as revealed in the variety of literary genres found in the Bible.

Dr. Margaret Daly-Denton
