The Bystander: On the Margins of Discipleship?
Breifne Walker

February 24th, March 3rd, 10th and 24th 1999

Large numbers of good people often feel that there is nothing they can do in the face of horrors created by humans, such as ethnic cleansing and mass murder. The task is too great. The easier option is to become a "bystander". This course will examine this issue using insights from moral thinking and psychology to see how we can move from "bystander behaviour" to a loving, compassionate way of being in the world.
