    Experiment No. 7

    Slime

    Recipe for Slime:

    You will need:

    1 Cup of water
    2 Cups cornflour
A few drops of Food Colouring

Carefully blend the cornflour, food colouring and water together

Cornflour does not really dissolve in water. It only forms tiny solid pieces that hang suspended in the water. Therefore this mixture has rather unique characteristics. If you keep moulding and working it, the slime is a solid. What happens when you stop? It should run through your fingers! Try it!!

By the way, if something is both a liquid and a solid, we call it a "Colloid"!
