please find Catalogue Six which hopefully, will provide some scarce items for
your Libraries. Following last year's plethora of Irish Literary Anniversaries
the current year is marked by the 200th Anniversary of the death of Brian Merriman,
born in Ennistymon, Co. Clare who died in Limerick in July 1805. His fame rests
on a poem of 1206 lines Cúirt an Mheán Oíche (The Midnight
Court) a rare copy of which is listed in catalogue. Next year marks the 100th
Anniversary of Samuel Beckett, born (Good Friday) 13th April 1905 and already
I note increased interest inhis works.
Current
Catalogue follows the standard format with Irish Art & Artists comprising
Part 1 and the General Section covers, History, Travel, Topography Literature
and Local History. The Addenda section is rich in fine bindings and some recent
acquisitions from the Library of the Earl of Claraendon and elsewhere.
