I would like to welcome you all here to the official launch of Portarlington GAA Club Web Site and we also celebrate a reunion of the Port Show cast and Social club members .I would like to extend that welcome to all past, present members and football players. Tonight is a special night for the club. We are linking the past to the future.

For those of you who were not around to remember the great effort and hard work put in to organise the Port Show tonight you can see some of the old photographs and relive the memories of the show which some of our great members were involved in. This show was the highlight of the Portarlington G.A.A. Club calendar for many years until its demise in the mid-eighties due to running costs and the time it would take to organise. I think you will all agree that this particular event will bring great memories flooding back. Who will ever forget the wonderful music, hysterical sketches and great acting and singing skills. The great coaching of the late Mary Joe McCormack RIP, Larry Fulham as musical Director and Billy Murphy for producing the sketches also all the other great names associated with the Port Show. We would like to remember all those members who are not with us tonight who were involved. I hope you enjoy tonight’s entertainment and view our web site in the future where updated information and pictures from past and present can be viewed.
