Annual Golf Classic 2009

ANNUAL GOLF CLASSIC 2009.
This year’s four ball golf classic takes place on
July 17th in Portarlington Golf Course.
This is a great occasion for club members and
supporters to network and socialise and every year
is well supported by local businesses. If you would
like to book a team or sponsor one of the many team
and individual prizes, greens or t-boxes, please
contact John Corcoran, Peter Turley, Kieran Leavy,
Eamon Lawlor or Joe Sweeney.
T-times are available from 11am to 5pm. A packed
snack will be provided to each player and dinner
will be served following the round of golf. |

This year sees Portarlington
hosting the Cúl Camp. There are 3 separate weeks available
for kids from all local clubs to partake in. Please follow

New Pitch
The Grass seeds are up! Thanks to everyone
who gave their time in picking the stones off the new
playing pitch.
Funding is now required for the purchase of
the new pitch. Please contact any committee
member for details on how you can contribute to
this.

Annual Fashion Show.
What a Night! Absolutely brilliant! A
BIG Thank You to all the people
who purchased tickets and supported this nights exquisite
fashion on show. A sincere thanks to the fashion outlets who
displayed their garments as well as the models, hair
designers and make up artists. The Heritage Hotel as always
provided the exceptional setting for this night. Thanks to
the committee for working so hard in promoting this event.
All the proceeds for the night are going to the funiding of
the new playing pitch in the club.
All County Draw Tickets
2009 all county draw tickets are now available for
purchase. Please purchase one of these off any committee
member in the new year. There are excellent prizes available
each month!
Weekly lottery tickets can also be purchased
from any committee member or online at
www.locallotto.ie . If you are unable to purchase a weekly
lottery ticket in the town or from a committee member please
play the online game. This way is a great way of supporting
the day to day operating costs of the club.
New Members
Are you interested in becoming part of the
G.A.A in Portarlington. If so, whether it be new
to the town and interested in playing football
with us or even becoming part of a committee
within the club please contact the secretary of
either juvenile or senior club or indeed any
member. We are always looking for new people to
bring fresh ideas!
