Making an appointment
The first point of contact is Catherine. I'll make a brief assessment (if you feel comfortable discussing your issue on the phone). You will be seen by me or one of the other therapists in the centre.
To help you decide if you would like to start therapy with us, an initial appointment will be offered, usually within a week. This is an introductory meeting, lasting about 50-60 minutes, providing an opportunity to meet the therapist and decide if you can work together and begin to share and explore current difficulties and concerns. You will be charged for this session, but it carries no obligation to continue. It also offers the opportunity to jointly assess whether therapy or counselling may be useful at this time; or whether some other form of help would be more appropriate.
We meet for 50-60 minutes each week. The full duration of a counselling or psychotherapy relationship can vary, depending on what you choose to bring to sessions and whether you find therapy useful for you.
Appointments are available from 8 AM till 10 PM.
