Kilkenny Castle is one of the biggest castles in Ireland. The castles grounds strecth out for over tree miles, the castle was bought by the county council off the air of the castle. The price which they paid for it was only fifty pounds for a pricless masterful piece of structure in the 1950's. Today their is a guided tour of the castle, It's one of the most exciting and interesting places to visited. The tour guide walks you through all the different rooms on different floors explaining the living arangments of its old landlourds and Kings. This is one of the places I wouldn't miss the chance to visit if traveling to Kilkenny. In 1997 the council begain reconsruction work on the top floor of the castle which needed to be done because of rotten wood in the floors and roofs.
