the school is very proud of these achievements . In 2002 they were
convincing winners of the cup and got to play the final in Parnell Park
. Pat Sayers , a sixth class teacher is the manager of the girls
school team.
Boys Gaelic

thrill for the team . 2nd to 6th Class went along to cheer on the team and
it was a great day The team lost out narrowly - 4points to 2points -
to Gaurdian Angels , National School from Cabinteely. The team beat
Scoil Naithi in the semi finals.

Boys Soccer
Team
St. Anne's Soccer Squad have been in existence now for eight years .
The team commences training each year in Early January and participate in
all the leagues , cup and Blitz matchesright through out the season . The
squad work tirelessly training every Wednesday after School under the
watchful eyes of their two coaches Aidan Bracken and Peter Guerin .
They have many successes but none more than last year when they qualified
for the County Final for the first time ever . Tolka Park was the venue
for this prestigious event - The Ribena Football Association of ireland
Schoolsboys final ! St. Anne's was proud to represent theri School
having beatedn Queen of Angels Wedgewood and Good Shepard in Churchtown in
their lead up to the final . They had a very convincing semi final win
over Ballymun in April 2002.
St Anne's did themselves proud that eventful day on 14th May 2002 with
an impressive display of soccer . The whole school came to Tolka Park to
lend support and enthusiasm . It was St. Anne's that took the lead when
after 10 minutes with a marvelous goal. However St. Comcilles had a very
good team and scored three great goals. The final score was 3-1 . It was a
great game. St. Anne's captain Chris and all of the players
throughout the field had good games but there is no doubt that St.
Colmcilles deserved their win.
This year the team is entering the league , the cup and the five aside
tournment. Our assistant coach is expecting us to win the treble. I hope
it happens.
The school also participates in the annula schools athletics
competition that are usually held in Santry Stadium each year . There are
a lot of pupils who try out to be on the school team but only four from
each age groupo get to do it. It is always very competitive at Santry and
it is good to meet and compete with other schools in Athletics.
