Almost 120 people from Skerries made the return trip to Guichen for the second part of the signing of the Charter of Friendship. Travelling by boat, train, bus, car and plane the group spent three very busy days in Guichen, enjoying the fine weather and festivities.

Summer 1995
A young student of architecture, Catherine Dowling, spent time, with students from Guichen on an architectural project in Milevsko, (Czech Republic), an area with which the french Canton are now in contact. This was under the aegis of a EU programme CAMPUS.

November 1995
Skerries Town Twinning Association, along with the Canton of Guichen and its other European partners was awarded the Etoile d’Or du Jumelage for their work in bringing together the peoples of two communities. This very impressive ceremony was held in Dublin Castle and delegates from all over Europe came for the event.
