Documentation: Evaluation of Developmental Plan

Matters arising from minutes of previous meeting
  • Long term schemes in the 3 subject areas are due. Memory sticks will be sent around 

  • Junior Infant applicants presently stand at 46

  • Text a Parent scheme is now in place

  • No response has been received as yet with regard to SNA review

  • €2,100 was raised for Haiti as a result of non-uniform day

  • Swimming will take place for children in Rooms 17 and 18 from 9 March to 27 April and for subsequently for Rooms 13, 14 and 15.

  • New projector screens will be installed on 27 February

  • BOM meeting on 8 March. Job sharing and career breaks are on agenda

  • One mainstream post will be lost for September 2010; Application being made to retain 3 language posts

  • The Campaign for the AIB Better Ireland grant will run until 15 March

 
Seachtain na Gaeilge
  • Seachtain na Gaeilge will take place from 5 March – 17 March

  • Art Exhibition will take place on week commencing 21 June. All art items will be framed

  • Planning Day will be on 18 June

  • Tests will commence on week of 24 May

  • Sports day will be held during week commencing 21 June (May need to be changed because of Art Exhibition)

  • Tours will be held between 7th and 18th June

Multi-cultural initiative
  • Ms Harte and Mrs Appenah will be meeting with representatives of Parents’ Association on week commencing 1 March

 
Team teaching in Mathematics
  • Is taking place in 4th Classes

 
Creative Writing
  • To be undertaken in near future

  • Finished pieces of writing to be typed and submitted to Mr McGuinness for uploading to website

 
Political Lobbying
  • INTO members requested to lobby their elected representatives during the coming week
