Microsoft Access

Fundamentals-Tables, Fundamentals-Queries, and Forms and Reports must be taken in sequential order. Following Forms and Reports, the Access classes may be taken in any order, although I recommend the numbered path.

Access Fundamentals-Tables

    Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
  1. Access and explain the Database Window
  2. Design a new table in design view
  3. Navigate the datasheet
  4. Add, move, select, edit, delete and save records
  5. Set field properties
  6. Format a table
  7. Print data
  8. Analyze a table
  9. Use the Office Assistant and Help feature
PREREQUISITES: The Essentials course Introduction to Windows or knowledge of file management and mouse skills.

Access Fundamentals-Queries

    Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
  1. Find and filter data
  2. Create relationships
  3. Create and run simple queries
  4. Modify query results
  5. Utilize operators and conditions in queries
  6. Design advanced queries
PREREQUISITES: Access Fundamentals-Tables

Access Forms and Reports

    Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
  1. Create, view, print basic forms
  2. Create basic reports
  3. Manipulate controls
  4. Align, space and edit controls
  5. Format forms
  6. Utilize other form techniques
  7. Create, edit and display Subforms/Subreports
PREREQUISITES: Access Fundamentals-Queries

Access Advanced Forms, Reports and Queries

    Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
  1. Create action queries
  2. Utilize advanced query wizards
  3. Apply advanced form design
  4. Apply advanced report design
  5. Link and import data
  6. Print a relationship document
  7. Compact and backup a database

Access Charts, Macros & Active X

    Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
  1. Create, format, and edit charts
  2. Create, save and run macros
  3. Create a group macro
  4. Utilize switchboards
  5. Register, add and attach Active X control
  6. Export data to Word and Excel

Access Customization, Internet, and Replication

    Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
  1. Create custom toolbars
  2. View, create, and delete indexes
  3. Create, insert, edit, and delete hyperlink fields
  4. Create, group, and sort Data Access pages
  5. Replicate a database
  6. Synchronize database replicas
