Jesse Broas apparently migrated to Tompkins co.,NY 1810 - 1820, same as the Edward Meeks family. In 1810, Jesse Broashad at least 7 children as follows: 2-1-0-1-0- 3-1-0-1-0

Jesse did not appear on the 1830 Enfield, NY census, but his son JohnBROAS was living next door to Wm. OSBORN. Then in 1840, we find Jesse"BROSS" next door to Wm. OSBORN in Enfield; Jesse & his wife (age60-70) were the only household members.
Other Tompkins co., NY Broas's that can't be connected yet (probablydescended from Jesse):
Jesse R. Broas, b. June 1824, d. Oct. 5, 1895 (Quaker Settlement Cem.)- lived in Jacksonville, Ulysses, Tompkins co., NY and was apump-maker; married Deborah A. d. Apr. 11, 1860, ae 35-11-9.
James H./E. Broas, b. 1848 /49, d. Jan 12, 1912 (Trumansburg GroveCem. lot 1230) married Vianna Updike (she is buried as ViannaStilwell, with her 2nd husband, next plot to James Broas.) Jame Broaswas living with Miner & Clarisy Updike on the 1880 census - hisin-laws.
The Broas surname may derive from the Dutch surname BRASS / BRAS. Itwas sometimes pronounced and spelled "BROSS" in old records.
[890] A researcher places his death in Enfield, NY (though no burial infohas been found). He was known to be living in Enfield in the 1830s.
