Death cert., according to Mary Jackson....gives his father's name asJesse BROAS & his
mother's name as "Mary NICHOLAS". We know that Jesse's wife's namewas Nancy (or Ann) and the name NICHOLSON is often written as`NICHOLAS` on records, so the consensus is that Jesse's wife was Nancy(Ann) NICHOLSON, the sister of Joshua NICHOLSON and daughter ofJonathan. (This is also evident by the names Ann/Nancy chose for hereldest sons and by bible records from Ann/Nancy's niece.)
Newspaper obit. says "Charles died May 9, 1896, age 78, in FarmerVillage, NY. Came from Dutchess co., NY and resided Havana, NY."
