Note: "The two males in the William household in 1790 more likely;William, born c1783; and Michael, born c1787. Maria Catherine mayhave been deceased before 1790 and the only other daughter of Williamand Elizabeth Hesler Treaster, Elizabeth, may have been the daughterlisted in 1790 Census. This is my line of descent and a John andDavid Spencer Trester were born in Bourbon County, KY." Lois TreasterSchmarr...She continues:
4. "Elizabeth Trester (dau. of John William Treaster, calledWilliam, and Maria Elizabeth Hesler Treaster, called Betsey.)born circa 1790 Elizabeth married Isaiah Hayes and remained inDearborn County until after her Mother's death in 1838. They divestedthemselves of their Dearborn County property in 1838 and we lose them.A Hayes History states Isaiah Hayes died in Dearborn County and wasinterred in Zion Cemetery there. Since there was no early ZionCemetery he probably rests in Trester Cemetery. The Church whichJoseph Trester donated the ground for after his Mother's death, wasearly called Zion Church, so possibly the mix-up."
[300] On the 1880 census (Noble, IL), Sarah Ann Hayes Stevens (daughter ofElizabeth Trester) indicates that her mother's birthplace was Germany.
