Robin Amerson sent additional facts and confirmed the others....hersources included two people who sent Family Group Sheets: one was BessPalmer who's husband is related to Isaac and Sarah Stevens --Isaacbeing a son of Charles Stevens & Rhoda.--(Rec'd from Bess Palmer onAug 25, 1984. Her address was 6106 Vance Jackson, 42 San Antonio, TX78230 --Robin lost touch with her.) The 2nd source was a DavidStevens. The info of Bess Palmer and David Stevens agreed with theinfo found in Robin's own research and that of other descendants.
Charles Stevens may have had Henry as a possible middle name ornickname.
From the childrens' birthdates and locations, we can see that Charles& Rhoda married in Hamilton co., OH, lived around Whitewater inHamilton co. c.1815 and then in Elizabethtown, OH c.1820. In 1825they are in Dearborn co., Indiana where they apparently lived theremainder of their lives. Uriah ended up back in Elizabethtown, OHafter marrying, and there were also Hayes relatives in Elizabethtown.
[2302] Liberty Hall newspaper, 1810 says, "MARRIED - On the 30th ult. byIsaac Sparks Esq. Mr. Charles Stephens, to Miss Rhoda Martin, both ofWhitewater township." Whitewater twp. is in Hamilton co., Ohio (notfar from Dearborn co., IN).
