The older portion of The Crawford Municipal Art
Gallery building dates from 1724 and was a Custom House. It was considerably enlarged with
a magnificent extension to house the Sculpture Gallery in 1884.
The Crawford Art Gallery has sculpture and picture
galleries open to the public.
In addition to the permanent collection, it hosts
over 20 exhibitions annually, and attracts over an estimated 100,000 visitors.
