Ballymacelligott Handball Club News 20th January 2002

Membership is now due and all members are asked to pay up as soon as possible for 2002.
Last Saturday the club hosted the doubles U12, U13 and U14 team event that was run by Kerry Handball Board for the first time. The event was a great success and it was marvellous to see so many children taking part. We wish to thank all the clubs, Abbeydorney, Glenbeigh, Tralee and an Gaeltacht, who traveled, as it was the entries that made the event.
We wish to thank all our club members who took part and all the adults who helped out on the day.
A special thanks to Ann Lawlor, County Board Assistant Secretary for all the work she did to facilitate the smooth running of the day's events.
Congratulations to the winning team: Barry O'Connor (Glenbeigh) Siobhan O Concubhair (Gaeltacht), Mark O Sullivan (Glenbeigh), Eabha Ring (Tralee), Shane McKenna (Glenbeigh) and Michéal O Huallacháin (Gaeltacht).
The following Saturday, 26th January the County Championships for U10 to U13 for boys and girls take place in Tralee and on the 9th February the County Championships for U14, U15, U16 and U17 for boys and girls takes place in Glenbeigh. All entries for County Finals will have to be with the County Board by closing date. This is to facilitate the smooth running of the competitions on the day.
The girls college entry forms can be obtained in the club as this competition will be held shortly.
The Club is posting all competitions and entry forms on the club notice board. It is the responsibility of each player to ensure that he/she is entered for all competitions.
