20. Kilworth Camp, Fermoy, 27.6.1915 My dear ones, It was very good to get your letters. The Brigade Sports come off on Wednesday (30th), and after that I shall put in for a fortnight. The C.O. says we are going to move to Seaforth (?or Seaforth) for a short while before going overseas. I fancy it's a small place on the Sussex coast somewhere near Brighton, though I never heard of it before. But I don't think he knows any more about it than we do, anyway. Still, I hope we go. I think the regiment would be better out of Ireland. They're very fretful at being kept here so long, as it is. And of course it would be easy to get to London now and then. You'd have to come down and stay in town. My birthday was a great glad day all right, but it resembled a Mess guest-night rather, in that the night before was heaven, and the morning after (when I awoke in front of a pile of letters as high as a hat -box, all needing to be acknowledged) was the other place. The enclosed is a precis of the Orderly Officer's work in a day, exclusive of ordinary parades and duties. I thought it might interest you. All my love.
