Types of Bogs
Flora and Fauna      About one - seventh of the surface of Ireland is covered in boglands.  Much of this is shallow and high up in the mountains of Ireland (Blanket Bogs). The great bogs of the Central Midlands average six meters in depth  ( Raised Bogs).
