 A Word from President Joe

    I have the honour to take on the role of President of Howth Sutton Lions Club for the second time, a Club with such a long and distinguished history in the service of the local community. 

The Lions Motto is 'We Serve':  Thus the primary purpose of any Lions club is in the provision of much needed charitable services to its local community and at the same time responding to national and international appeals for assistance. In the case of the latter the worldwide network of Lions Clubs enables us to react immediately and effectively to suffering and distress caused by natural disasters wherever they occur in the world at large.

To ensure the continued vitality and vibrancy of a charity organisation such as ours new blood is essential.  In recent times we have had much success in attracting new members to our club but our efforts need to continue in this regard.  

I look forward to my year as President of Howth/Sutton Lions Club working closely with my colleagues in Lions responding to the charitable needs of our community.
