The River Shannon Project
The year 2001 marked the 50th anniversary of the first arts legislation in Ireland. To mark the year various events were organised including a flagship project on the Shannon. Mountshannon school, together with 13 others, both primary and secondary, were invited to participate. The project was launched in Kilrush in late July and work began in the school in September.
