The Floor

As Cameras have to move smoothly over the floor of the TV Studio it is finished in a level, thick hard wearing lino with no joins.
The floor can be painted and decorated in water soluble paints, sheeted out in large sheets of decorative surfaced hardboard, coated in low tack coloured contact paper or left in its natural clean light grey finish and lit by the Lighting Designer.
Apart from the Scenery or the Set, the studio floor accommodates the Cameras, Sound and sometimes Lighting equipment. A times it must also accommodate a studio audience.
