The Ceiling
Possibly the single most important item fixed between the Studio Ceiling and the studio walls is the area known as the Grid. This is a suspended open mesh steel floored working space high above the studio floor. Sometimes the ceiling above the grid is fitted out with pulleys in fixed positions for the running of fly lines for the suspension and flying of scenery. |
The ceiling accommodates all the power-points needed for the studio lamps, monitors, hoists etc. Every power-point is given an identifying number which corresponds with a number on the Lighting Desk. |
